The Pint (take 2)

As some of you may know, I used to play at a bar in Chippewa (Beaver County) called the Pittsburgh Pint & Platter... well, it's been a year or so since they've closed but now the owners have opened a new place in Chester, WV. I'll be playing there this Thursday from 10-2 so grab your friends and get ready to hear some fresh new music! I'll post some more details as I have them, but shoot me an e-mail if you'd like to know more.

The Bronze Eagle

Ok Pint & Platter fans... looks like the gang from the PPP has taken over The Bronze Eagle in Monaca. I'll be playing there THIS THURSDAY NIGHT!!! So please please please, cancel all your plans and head on over to 1198 Pennsylvania Avenue (that's the main street in Monaca) and join in on our inagural Thursday!!! The fun starts at 10PM!!!!

All That's Old Is New Again

As some of you may know, I've played at the Holiday Inn in Beaver Falls for quite sometime on Fridays and Saturdays. About a year ago I stopped playing Saturdays there while the management worked out some 'issues'. WELL, I'm happy to announce that I'll be performing on non-booked Saturdays down there again starting right away. When I do have an event/wedding/party/poetry reading booked my brother Richard will be taking over on DJ duty at the bar, so make sure you come on "out to the Inn" and dance dance dance every Saturday!

Nothing lasts forever...

Well, it appears to be official. The Pittsburgh Pint & Platter will be closing it's doors after this Saturday Night. It's been about 18 months of mayhem, fun and music. PLEASE come on out and say goodbye one last time. I'll be there tonight (Thursday) and this Saturday from 10-2. It's gonna be a GREAT time so I hope you can all make it. I'll be out looking for a new establishment to play at regularly and we'll let everyone know once I find a place.. in the meantime I'm still doing that 'karaoke thing' everything Friday at the Holiday Inn. The Pint & Platter is in Chippewa on Darlington Road, hope to see ya'll tonight for the PARRRRTY!

The Pint

I've been playing at the Pittsburgh Pint & Platter in Chippewa for a little over a year now. It's been a great experience, and I've made lots of great friends. Unfortunately, it appears things aren't going so well for the wonderful lady who runs the place and it appears that she may have to throw in the towel. If you're looking for a great way to spend an evening, c'mon down to The Pint while you still can! I'm there on Tuesdays (karaoke), Thursdays (dance music) and some Saturdays (dance music) when I'm not playing at a private event.

I'm still praying that everything works out down there, but everyone should try to come out soon because there's not saying how much longer we'll all get to party at 3Ps. Good luck Nita!!!

Happy New Year

As you can see, we're all quite excited to see what the new year brings... things are shaping up to be quite busy in DJville.

Scary-okey

Like karaoke night at the Holiday Inn isn't scary enough... tonight will be SCARY-OKE! C'mon down dressed in your best Halloween costume and you can howl...opps, I mean sing to some classic halloween tunes. (wanna guess we hear Thriller 8 tmes???)

I've been told they'll be prizes for best costumes so it ought to get even more crazy than usual... which is REALLY terrifying!

I know how Batman feels

So this whole double life thing gets a little hard sometimes. DJ, Graphic Designer, Dad... sometimes gets a little nutty! So I apologize for not keeping some of the areas on the ol' website as current as I'd like.

Here's my current performance schedule...

Wednesday - I perform semi-reguarly (every other week) on Wednesdays at the Pittsburgh Pint & Platter. This is quite new so I'm not sure what kind of music it'll end up being... for now if you come out it's pretty much any request you can think up!!!

Thusdays - Back at the Platter, this is a super young, modern dance music night. Just a teenie tiny bit of classic tracks thown in here and there.... but for the most part, it's all 2005 baby!

Fridays - Karaoke madness abounds at the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls. This is the most successful karaoke night I've ever seen... all night long we have a variety of some of the most interesting vocal talents in Beaver County... it's a ton of fun and people even LINE DANCE!!

Saturdays and Sundays are currently reserved for private parties and of course, WEDDINGS! If you'd like any more information regarding any of these venues, or to inquire about my services, you should feel free to contact me!

Winter Blahs

Well, typically the winter is a pretty slow time in the DJ business... not a lot of weddings going on so it's a good time to take inventory, sort music etc. This year has been different with a lot of personal (a new baby!) and professional (all new equipment!) taking up much more of my time. It's all kept me quite busy much very happy. Unfortunately I haven't had as much time as I'd like to do the regular things like update my website, but changes are on the way including more fun filled DJ pictures.

I do wanna let everyone know right away that we're going to start doing KARAOKE at the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls every Friday from now on. There's a great drink special that's gonna go with it but I don't wanna post it here til the details are finalized... but trust me, you're gonna wanna come out and sing at least one song every Friday!

New Year's Eve 2005

We're very happy to be performing in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls. This is an upgrade from our normal gig in the bar, so we're looking forward to bringing in the year with a BIG BANG! The hotel is still taking reservations for the ballroom package (sorry, last we checked all the room packages were sold out!) But you can still come and join us as we party, sing, dance and get basically stupid ringing in 2005. Hope you can make it, it's gonna be GREAT!

Just want to remind everyone that we're performing regularly now EVERY THURSDAY at the Pittsbugh Pint & Platter. It's easy to get to right off of Route 60 in Chippewa and would love to see you come on down and check out the place... it's very cool.

Pittsburgh Pint & Platter

If you live in the Chippewa/Beaver Falls area, come on down to the brand new Pittsburgh Pint and Platter (formerly Good Spirits). We'll be performing new and classic music from 9:30PM to 1:30AM this THURSDAY night. The place features two large video screens, pool tables and a great dance floor with very cool lighting. C'mon on out and dance the night away!!!

Holiday Planning

As the weather gets colder, people start realizing that the holiday's aren't as far away as we'd like to think. Yes, Wal-Mart has had Christmas decorations up for 2 months, but it is time to start thinking about plans for the Holidays. Two parties I'd like to invite everyone to... The Holiday Inn Halloween Party will be happening Saturday October 30 and is gonna be an HUGE party with games, suprises and a costume contest. Also, you may wanna start thinking about New Year's Eve, I'll be performing in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn with the largest setup ever. Lights, videos, complete madness! Make sure to make reservations so you can stay the night!!

I finally got through all the photos that Johanna took at the Beaver County Idol Grand Finale. It's all here...from the free buffet to the light up necklaces to the wild partying... it's pretty clear that everyone had a great time. Check them out!

Congratulations Skip Hall!

Last night, Skip Hall was awarded the title of "Beaver County Idol" at what was no doubt THE karaoke event of 2004. In front of a crowd of over 250 our five finalists, Skip Hall, Larvita Early, George Moore, Nikki Halstead and Doug Hicks performed like never before. Each and every performance was rock solid, and in the end Skip collected the most votes to earn a victory.

Among the other prizes he'll recieve, Skip now has the oppourtunity to sing the National Anthem for the Pittsburgh Pirates!

Our staff photographer Johanna took over 200 amazing pictures once again! I'll be sorting thru them and post them on the site by Friday.

Beaver County Idol Finale

Tonight is the final night of the Beaver Falls Holiday Inn's Beaver County Idol. The fun starts at 9PM, but I'd get there early! The competition has been moved to the ballroom, we're also gonna have a buffet setup by Cricket Wireless (who knew they could cook?). Tonight we'll hear 2 songs from Skip, Doug, George Nikki & Larvita, but you may get a chance to take the stage too!!! See you tonight!!!

The Final Five

Here's the sccop. For the past 7 weeks the Holiday Inn, Beaver Falls has been searching for the most talented singers in Western Pennsylvania to compete in the first ever Beaver County Idol Competition. Tomorrow night the final five contestants will perform and we need YOU to come and vote for your favorite. It's going to be a special night of fun and suprises, make sure you come early to get a good seat. The show starts at 9PM. For more information call the Holiday Inn at 724-846-3700. Oh What A Night!

If you missed last night's Beaver County Idol Semi-Finals, you should be ashamed! It was a great night featuring 10 excellent performances. The 5 finalists have been chosen to compete next week in the final competition, make sure to mark your calendar for September 1st, 9PM. Unfortunately we had to bid farewell to Leslie, Katie, Jared, Al and Mark - you guys have been GREAT! Of course we have to wish good luck to our finalists... Nikki, Larvita, Skip, George and Doug! Just want to remind everyone to come out tonight and cheer on your favorite Beaver County Idol Semi-finalists. I don't know how the judges will choose only 5 out of these 10 amazing talents. Beaver Falls Holiday Inn's first ever karaoke competition continues!

This past Wednesday was truly amazing. 14 contestants performed their hearts out, our judges had to choose only 10 to continue on to the next round. Check out the photos from the past few weeks!

The Semi-Finals continue this Wednesday and continue through the finale on September 1st.
